No, the Diver Signal Tube with WDS has been designed to be
used from the Safety Stop Depth of 5m / 15ft. When deployed from this depth the
buoy would very rarely launch its self completely out of the water. The weight
of both the Snap Hook on the WDS and the Stainless Steel Ring on the buoy will
always keep the opening of the buoy under the water and prevent any air from
leaking from the unit.
